Dealing with Illegal Migrants

Illegal Migrants: Could Modi be as firm as Trump?

Problems of Illegal Migrants in USA

The first task that newly elected President of the USA mentioned at his hands, was to deport the illegal migrants as his first and the foremost commitment. It was his priorities in the various electoral campaigns of 2024 as well as to quell their threats at all levels. The official figure of Illegal Migrants in USA till 2024 were that of 13.3 million (read “Mass Deportation, Devastating Cost to America”, https://www.americanimmigrationcouncil.org/research/mass-deportation). It is a huge figure esp when 2.3 million of them were allowed to sneak-in in the last 2 yrs alone. There was a time in Biden Administration when Vice President Kamla Harris supervised their undocumented and illegal ingress. It was pathetic.

Executive Order to Deport Illegal Migrants

All liberals and pseudo-liberals both within and abroad criticized Trump when he spoke of his resolve to throw out the illegal migrants on the pavements and footpaths of the US cities during Biden’s term in the White House. Come 20th Jan 25 when President Trump stepped in the White House, one of his first actions has been to sign an executive order to start a firm action against those invaders what he termed as “Pick and release” meaning pick those guys from the US cities and release at the US international border for them to go back where they came from. Of course, there will be some anti-national and pseudo-liberal ‘Jaichands’ within USA itself trying to counter the action through various legal or illegal means. However, it can be expected that lot many illegal migrants will find themselves cornered. Will this executive order be a game changer for USA to get rid of majority of the invaders? Time only will say. However, could Modi govt learn a lesson from this US executive order?

Relevance to India

India or more appropriately Bharat too has been invaded by huge numbers of illegal migrants through its north-eastern border. There are conflicting assumptions that illegal Bangladeshis number anything from 2 - 4 Cr spread in various states, mostly those governed by the “Muslim Vote-Bank Political parties” such as Congress, TMC or JMM. However, there is a difference between US and Indian illegal migrants in that most of the latter manage to acquire fake identities and other document required to acclaim Indian citizenship. Still worse, most such fake document is provided at the behest of “Vote-Bank” political parties who thrive at their votes. These allegations are no figs of imaginations but as revealed in the ongoing investigation in the modus operandii of such people and the political masters who provide them the patronage (read “'नकलीआधार' आधारित समस्याएँ और उसका समाधान”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/fake-aadhar-card-fake-voters/).

These rogue political parties are the components of a larger alliance of Thugs called I.N.D.I.A (read “I.N.D.I.A of Thugs”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/i-n-d-i-a-of-thugs-part-3/) and most of this alliance are also assumed to be “Jaichands”, the traitors of the nation (read “ देश के गद्दार”, https://thecounterviews.in/articles/chors-scamsters-traitors-of-india/). Further, Bangladeshi and Rohingya illegal migrants pushed from Bangladesh and handled in Bharat by radical or jihadi groups are comparatively much more dangerous than those of Mexican migrants in USA because many of them are radical Muslims, always willing to carry out subversive and jihadi acts when directed by their radical handlers.

Without doubt it can be said for sure that the numbers of anti-national and pseudo-liberal ‘Jaichands’ in Bharat will be much more than those in USA; BUT…will Modi govt have courage to bring a similar legislative act as that of Trump’s Executive order to throw them out who are behaving like cancers on Indian soil? This anomaly is despite the fact that USA is signatory to the UN Refugee act whereas India is not. India is not obliged to accept any refugee…legal or illegal. Hence, if President trump has made a strong resolve to identify and deport such illegal migrants, there is no reason why Indian prime Minister Modi should/could not.

Weaknesses of the Police Administrations: USA & India

A big question arises as to why the respective police administrations of the two nations allowed the illegal migrants into their nations? The answers are pretty simple…that the two governments have tied the hands of the police administrations. While in USA, Biden administration made it a policy that no illegal migrants will be deported, in India it is the unwritten collusion of both police and the polity who are hand-in-gloves with the illegal migrants. In past, Supreme Court of India has prohibited the deportation of such migrants against their will under the umbrella of Human Rights whether a signatory to the UNHCR or not BUT watch out. Those very provisions of UNHCR will be thrown to the winds by the strongest signatory of the provision, the USA. If the US Prez has signed an executive order, it will be followed in letter and spirit even if it violates provisions of the UNHCR. They will surely find holes in the UN provision to implement it. The US Courts incl their Apex Body of late, have shown their vulnerability as to how they tow the line of the administration. President trump did not hesitate in his inaugural address after oath-taking that US justice system was criminalized.

What does the US Executive Order mean to India ?

Indian lawyers are known to be the champions of finding holes in the laws of the land…at a price to be paid though…and Indian polity and a few other rich have enough ill-gotten money to pay those prices. In addition, there are rogue Islamic agencies in India who hire costly lawyers to protect the radical Muslims if being tried out in the Indian Courts. For example, the unnecessary Halal certification agency of India spends lavishly on such causes (refer the Special TV program ‘Black & White’ on Aajtak dated 21 Jan 25; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQdhitHH5DQ).

There used to be a golden period of myth for the corrupt politicians and rich citizens that they can never be jailed for their crimes. The highly obedient lawyers or the judiciary would surely bail them out of their crime or at least, drag the cases for decades until one of the litigants disappeared from the horizon. That myth was broken when Lalu Yadav, a highly corrupt politician was jailed. It is other matter though that larger part of his jail term was spent in the luxury guest house of Ranchi Medical College Hospital. It is a common practice in India then when such people are jailed, their lawyers manage to shift them to a hospital on one or the other pretext where they often manage to get transferred to a VIP suite.

Govt of India too can publish either a gazette notification or issue an ordinance to identify and deport the illegal migrants en-mass. There will be no difficulty in looking out for a precedence as the USA is currently trying to do the same. Surely, there are plenty of Jaichands in India to provide safe heavens to those illegal migrants who have proliferated and spread like cancer on the govt lands…esp of Railway and the Urban Development. There could be an initial difficulty in identifying the migrants, esp those who have acquired citizenship through fake document. However, there could be a way out in detecting the fraudsters. Of the Aadhar Cards of Muslim adults made in the last 5-7 yrs, nearly 75% will be of the illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya Muslims if scruitinised thru’ a special task force like what Delhi police is trying to do. It is expected that there are >1 Cr Bangladeshi who have entered India illegally in the last few years. They can sure be identified and deported. Surely there will be difficulties. Even the current radical administration in Bangladesh may refuse to accept them…BUT…Modi govt must believe “where there is a will, there is a way” and initiate actions accordingly to get rid of this cancer.

There is one more difficulty when it comes to identifying Bangladeshi or Rohingya Muslims. They usually live in ghettos as well as mixed with Indian Muslims as a brotherhood that Islam teaches them. The author of this article is a permanent resident of Araria (Bihar). It is believed that about 25-30% Muslim families provide shelters to them as a result of which, religious demography of Araria distt has changed dramatically in the last few decades. In Araria, those Bengali speaking Bangladeshi Muslims can be identified easily BUT there is hardly any will power among police or the polity for the reasons explained above.

The Bottom-line

It is abundantly clear that both USA and India have become a fertile ground for illegal migrants. While the US Administration under President Donald Trump has shown their resolve to deport them en-mass, Indian polity has for long, lacked such will power. It may be a good time for Modi govt to draw precedence from USA to start identifying and deporting them through an ordinance bill or a mere administrative action initiated by the Union Govt. Illegal migrants do not come under the purview of State Law & Order machinery. Hence, the respective Vote-Bank political parties could be constrained effectively during these procedures. The widely quoted phrase of “Modi hai to mumkin hai” has to be demonstrated on ground to tackle the ills caused by these illegal migrants.
